I just wanted to thank all of you who have joined and posted on this tribe. I started it out of curiousity to see if there were any other people who felt about religion as I did other than the few like-minded friends I've met over the years.
It is so nice to know that there ARE others out there... and I'm amazed how many people have joined so far. As of this post we have 124 members. Considering that I have never advertised this tribe or trolled with invitations, and considering how many people are on Tribe.net in general, that number astounds me.
And it's been a lot of fun reading the posts, and interesting that there's been so much to talk about!!
So thanks again, everyone!! ;)

Re: Thanks!
Mon, April 26, 2004 - 8:30 PMThanks for taking the initiative, and the chance of putting something as seemingly esoteric as this "out there." And now, it would appear, perhaps not as esoteric as one might think.... -

Re: Thanks!
Wed, May 19, 2004 - 11:16 PMYeah, Lindsay. It's amazing how often this topic comes up, or rather, I'm able to raise it during other discussions regarding religion and philosophy.
Thanks for helping me give my belief system a name! -

Re: Thanks!
Thu, May 20, 2004 - 10:00 AMLindsay, you also get credit for how serene and friendly this tribe is.
Granted, because we 'don't care' whether there is or isn't a deity, we have less to talk about, but then we have less to argue about, too.
In the same way that I favor Buddhism over other religions because of its track record in causing less strife than other religions, this tribe (& its attitude towards religious matters) seems to attract less strife as well.
Maybe I'll start identifying myself as an apatheist, and see if those effects carry over into the real world.
