Greetings, fellow "I don't give a rat" people. :-)
Truth be told, I almost didn't join, because it was painful for me to think about how little I think about the topic of religion. But I read several recent posts and decided that I could hang out here for a while and will probably enjoy the company.
In time (and perhaps, to a large extent, based on my experiences here) I'll decide whether or not I'll choose to embrace the word "Apatheist" to describe myself. I have tended to use the word "agnostic" in the past.
Ironically, one of my hesitations is the fact that I think people are generally more familiar with agnosticism than they are with apatheism -- and I fear having to explain it over and over while maintaining upright and conscious!
This is in stark contrast to my sentiments on being childfree ( childfreebychoice.tribe.net ), a subject about which I often engage people in what I hope is thought-provoking discussion. Consider that a shameless plug to those of you who may also be childfree!
